In Ancient times be it the Greek, Indian, or Pharaoh Mythology cats were considered sacred animals that could protect homes, bring good luck, Fertility, Prosperity, and Good Luck. Cats were chosen to guard temples and to harm cats was a crime punishable by death. Cats are considered to be connected with light, positivity, purity, and good luck.
The mystical belief that cats have nine lives hence, the artist felt resurrection would be the most ideal description for “A Cat”.
The art of cat is a connection to Positivity and Luck coming home, resurrecting through any obstacles in life to keep managing to get out of difficult or dangerous situations without being hurt or harmed.
The Artists also want to spread awareness of the fact that cats are the most abused domestic animals. Cats are being beaten, thrown, injured, and even in many cases drowned.
Such majestic and mystic creatures deserve more respect and love from their owners and keepers.
